Quatchi's Powerful Kick

I felt a kick! I was laying on the couch and Sandra urgently called me over and put my hand on her belly. After a few seconds I felt a strong kick followed by a short break and then two more kicks. SO COOL!

December 12th, 2011 – 21 Weeks

Yesterday was the day Sandra felt the first real kick! What an amazing thing to be able to feel the baby move.... Today Quatchi was moving around a lot during the morning... it is such a cool feeling!

December 10th, 2011 – 20 Weeks

We have not picked a name for our baby boy yet… Tim's favorite name as many of you know is Tor, but he keeps coming up with new ones everyday. For now, we decided to give our little boy the nickname of our favorite character… QUATCHI! For those that don’t know him, Quatchi was the sasquatsch mascot from the Vancouver Winter Olympics. He is so round and cute, and also very furry. Since our little one is probably going to be a little hairy, we though the nickname was just perfect…

December 7th, 2011 – 20 Week Ultrasound

Today we had the anatomy ultrasound. Everything looks good, we feel very lucky!! We were so excited to find out if our little one is a boy or a girl… everyone has been guessing boy, and because of that, we were thinking a little girl might be on the way. …but the guesses were right! It’s a boy!!! His feet are about an inch big!

November 20th, 2011 – 17 Weeks

Lisa took this picture of Sandra’s belly today to send Georgina. This is the first picture we have of the baby, so glad to have a friend who is good about taking pictures. The baby is just starting to show…

October 24th, 2011 – 14 Week Ultrasound

We are in the 14th week now and had our second ultrasound today. The baby is about 2.5 inches long… It was very active and kept moving around which was helpful since the technician was trying to look at it from a few specific angles.

September 23, 2011 – 9 Week Ultrasound

So… after 5 weeks of waiting since Tim and I got the big news we had our first ultrasound. The baby seems to be doing great. It was an unbelievable experience to see it in the screen, this is such a miracle and we feel extremely lucky!! Now we actually believe there is a little being in there!!
